Lord of the Ocean Free Spins: How the Slot's Feature Works
In short: Lord of the Ocean free spins are a ten game round that three gates open from anywhere on the reels. The client then draws one paying symbol at random and lets it fill a whole reel until the round ends.
Three gates, landed anywhere at all, hand over ten free games, and the machine then picks a single ordinary symbol to cover a whole reel. We read that rule off the client's own FEATURE screen before writing a word of this.

Note: Six steps, about two minutes. We ran 150 spins at 0.10 in Novomatic's own demo client on , and the feature never arrived once. So everything below comes from the FEATURE and RULES screens we read inside the game, not from a lucky round. A run that short measures nothing. We say so every time the number appears.

The Steps, in Order
Follow these steps in order; each one is a single action with the control it uses.

Step 1: Count the Gates, Not the Poseidons
Three or more gate symbols open the round, wherever they land. On this game the gate is both the wild and the scatter, so Poseidon substitutes for nothing. He is simply the top payer, worth 5,000 times the line bet for five of a kind.
Step 2: Take the Ten Games at Your Trigger Bet
The RULES screen puts it in seven words: Free Games are played at trigger bet and lines. Open the round at 10p and all ten games run at 10p. There's no way to sneak in cheaply and finish at £5.
Step 3: Watch the Random Draw Before the First Game
Before anything spins, the client picks a single winner out of the nine symbols that pay. That can be Poseidon. It can just as easily be the 10, which returns 100 times the line bet for five against Poseidon's 5,000.
Step 4: Let the Symbol Expand Across Its Reel
The FEATURE screen spells it out: the special symbol may expand to cover 3 positions on the reel. It pays like the regular symbol but even on non adjacent positions and on all lines played. A reel of tens on one, three and five still counts.
Step 5: Add the Scatter Pay to the Line Pay
Scatter wins and line wins are added, in the client's own phrasing. Three gates return 2 times your whole stake, on top of whatever the lines produce. The gate uses the total bet; the nine symbols use the line bet.
Step 6: Keep the Same Symbol on a Re-Trigger
Three further gates inside the round award another ten games. Austria's binding game conditions for this title add a detail almost nobody prints: the current bonus symbol stays rather than being drawn again.
What a Full Reel Actually Pays
A full reel pays whatever its symbol is worth on every line it completes. That is where the swing comes from. All of it. The client shows values for the stake you have selected, so at 10p across ten lines each line carries 0.01.
Five of a Kind, at a 10p Stake
| Symbol | Times the line bet | Cash at 0.01 a line |
|---|---|---|
| Poseidon | 5,000 | 50.00 |
| Mermaid | 2,000 | 20.00 |
| Treasure chest | 750 | 7.50 |
| Statue | 750 | 7.50 |
| A or K | 150 | 1.50 |
| Q, J or 10 | 100 | 1.00 |
Figures current as of ; the operator's live terms prevail.
Two rounds can share every rule and still differ by fifty times, because nothing else about them changes and neither reel has turned yet. One lands on the 10. The other lands on Poseidon.
Two Bases, One Round
Three gates start it. Ten games follow. The bet stays the same.
Two bases run side by side inside the round. Mixing them up is the commonest error in coverage of this game, and it changes every figure you calculate. The nine ordinary symbols multiply the stake on a single line. Poseidon's 5,000 therefore applies to 0.01 rather than to the 0.10 you paid. The gate works the other way round, multiplying the whole stake, which is why three gates return 0.20 at that same 10p.
You Cannot Buy This Round
This game sells no entry to the round.
This title ships without a feature purchase of any kind. No button, no price. Greentube does sell a bought round elsewhere in the family, on a title called Lord of the Ocean 10 Win Ways Buy Bonus. That one has its own reel sets and its own return.
Where the Ceiling Would Be Hit
Expansion is conditional rather than automatic. The client states that it happens only when enough symbols for a winning combination already sit on the reels.

Any ceiling worth quoting gets hit inside this round rather than in the base game. Ten free games with a filled reel are the only realistic route to a four figure multiplier, which is why every published ceiling describes this round.
Four different figures are in print for the same title. Four.
Who Prints Which Ceiling
| Who printed it | Figure | Where it appears |
|---|---|---|
| Admiral Casino, Gambling Commission account 39050 | x5010 | the operator's own games API |
| Rank Interactive, Gambling Commission account 57924 | £25,000 | the game page, which is that same 5,000x against a £5 cap |
| Two German licensees | 5,000x | their own game pages |
| stargames.de and slots.admiralbet.de, both Greentube | x7387 | their own game pages |
| Slotmagie, Germany | 10044x | the lobby record |
Only one of those four is independently derivable from the paytable. Poseidon returns 5,000 times the line bet, and a fully expanded reel completes all ten lines. Dividing the resulting 50,000 line units by the ten unit total stake produces exactly 5,000. The remaining three are operator declarations, unaccompanied by any published derivation.
Every figure above belongs to the casino that printed it. Novomatic supplies none of them. The maker publishes no ceiling in public at all. The column that would carry one sits behind a business login on its own game page.
What the British Build Changes
Britain changes how you reach the round rather than what the round does. A game cycle is capped at £5 for players aged 25 and over, and at £2 below that age. Autoplay is gone. A spin takes at least two and a half seconds. Those rules arrived across 2021 and 2025, and together they mean a British session reaches the feature a good deal more slowly than the demo we recorded.
The relevant rules are numbered. Standard 8A removes autoplay, and 14D requires at least two and a half seconds from the start of one game to the start of the next. Standard 14E blocks turbo, while 14C bars playing several games at once.
The Balance Curve, Spin by Spin
Our balance fell in a straight line, which is itself the evidence that nothing opened. We started on 500.00 and sampled the counter every tenth spin, reading 499.50 after ten, 498.10 after fifty, 496.60 after a hundred, and 495.85 at the end. A ten game round at that stake would have shown as a step. The line never bent.
No step appears anywhere in the whole run.
We Do Not Recommend Chasing It
We do not recommend raising your stake to force this round, and our own figures are the argument. Across 150 spins we got back 10.85 of 15.00. The largest single win across the whole run was 0.10, and the feature stayed shut from the first spin to the last. A longer wallet buys more spins. It leaves the odds on each one exactly where they were.
