Lord of the Ocean RTP: What Your Slot Lobby Runs
In short: Lord of the Ocean is a Novomatic slot whose return is chosen by the casino, not fixed by the game. Its own rules screen states 95.10%, yet Greentube's British casino Admiral runs the same title at 92.13%.
You can look this slot's return up and get a different answer from every source. The game prints 95.10% on its own rules screen; the studio's own British casino runs 92.13%.

- Game:
- Lord of the Ocean (a Novomatic video slot, distributed online by Greentube)
- Type:
- Slot game
- RTP as published:
- Not one number but a set of versions, and this title documents that better than almost any other because its licensees disagree in public, in writing, inside the same regulated markets.
- Max win:
- Four different ceilings are published for this title, all by named licensed operators, and they do not agree.
Ordered by the figure published, highest first. Every entry names the company that printed it and where we read it, and the operators that publish nothing are listed last rather than quietly left out.
Where the 95.10% Comes From
The 95.10% comes from the game itself, not from a catalogue.

We opened the client in Fun mode on . We pressed MENU, opened PAYTABLE & INFO and paged through to the fourth screen. The RULES panel reads: "The minimum possible bet is 0.01. The theoretical RTP is 95.10 %." That is the maker's own software describing its own maths, which makes it the strongest single source on this page. It is also the highest figure anyone publishes for this title. Almost nobody runs it. Of the three British licensees that publish anything at all, two print a version close to it and the one owned by the maker itself prints a lower one.
The rest of this page is about who runs what instead.
Ask the game, not the page. The help screen has it.
One Game, Many Returns
One game carries many returns because Novomatic files them per deployment. Greentube's business page for this slot holds a key-data table. Its rows are keyed by licence. RTP is one column in that table, beside minimum bet and maximum exposure. The whole thing sits behind a "Login required" wall. A return belongs to a contract, then, rather than to the reels.

Returns, stake ceilings and certification records are documented per licence instead of per game, which makes each of them a commercial arrangement between a supplier and an individual operator. A player sees none of that paperwork, only the reels, and the reels carry no marking to show which configuration happens to be running underneath them.
Jackpotpiraten, a German licensee, says as much out loud and then trips over it. The specification tile on its page shows 94.26%. The FAQ lower down the same page says 90.05%. Underneath both sits a line admitting the value differs between sites.
Same page, two numbers, no explanation.
What Britain Actually Asks For
Britain asks for less than most readers assume. Requirement 3C of the Gambling Commission's remote technical standards lets an operator choose. It can publish the return to player percentage, or it can publish the probability of winning events occurring. A game page carrying no figure breaks nothing. Two of the five British brands we read take that option.
What Each British Licensee Publishes for This Slot
| Brand | Licensee and account | Return published | Where we read it |
|---|---|---|---|
| Midnite | Midnite Limited, 101839 | 95.10% | Game page, stated three times |
| Lucky Pants Bingo | Rank Interactive, 57924 | 95.1% | Game-info panel |
| Admiral Casino | Greentube Alderney, 39050 | 92.13% | Game page, via the operator's own prerender |
| Jackpotjoy | Gamesys Operations, 38905 | none | No figure anywhere on the page |
| Unibet | Platinum Gaming, 45322 | none | Label present, value loaded by script |
Figures current as of ; the operator's live terms prevail.
Admiral is the awkward entry, though the awkwardness is instructive. It is Greentube's own British casino. It runs the lowest of the three British figures that exist. Its page prints "RTP: 92.13%" and then tells you to check the in-game help for "full and accurate" details, a panel that needs an account, which we did not open. The brand closest to the maker turns out to be both the least generous of the three and the one that sends you furthest to confirm its own number.
The Spread, Market by Market
The spread widens the moment you leave Britain. Germany alone produces five figures for one slot.

Published Returns Outside Britain
| Market | Who publishes it | Figure | Note |
|---|---|---|---|
| Germany | Slotmagie | 88.21% | Sits in the lobby record beside a 10044x ceiling |
| Germany | Die-spielbank, StarGames, Admiralbet | 90.05% | Two of the three are Greentube's own brands |
| Germany | Novoline.de | 92% and 95% | Two permitted builds, Top Spin and Top Spin Max RTP |
| Germany | Bingbong, Jackpotpiraten | 94.26% | Two sites, one licensee, one permit |
| Austria | win2day | about 94.2% | Printed in binding game conditions |
| Italy | Eurobet | 92.13% | Quoted as its distribution figure |
German law makes the naming odd rather than the maths odd. Every approved game there must carry its own name. That is why one slot is sold as Top Spin and as Top Spin Max RTP, at two different returns.
Check Before You Stake
Check the in-game help at the casino you actually use, because that panel is the one tied to your account. Open the game, press MENU, then PAYTABLE & INFO, and read the rules to the end. If the panel shows a figure you did not expect, that is your answer, and it outranks anything written about the game elsewhere, including this page.
We do not recommend treating 95.10% as the figure you will be playing. It is real, we read it ourselves, and it remains the exception.
One caveat applies to the two British pages that do print a high number. Rank's copy around that figure tells readers to click an Autoplay button. It also says they can multitask while playing. Both have been banned in British slots since . A page left unreviewed that long makes a weak witness for its own percentage, so we would weight Admiral's machine-readable 92.13% above Rank's prose if forced to pick.
Key Terms Used on This Page
- Return to player
- The share of stakes a slot hands back over millions of rounds; published for this title anywhere between 88.21% and 95.10%.
- Default configuration
- The return a studio ships as standard, which for this game is the 95.10% printed on the rules screen of the maker's own Malta-region demo.
- Licence-keyed data
- Greentube files RTP, minimum bet and maximum exposure per licence, so a return belongs to one deployment rather than to the game.
- RTS 3C
- The British rule letting an operator publish either a return percentage or the probability of winning events, which is why two UK sites publish neither.
